As time waits for no one, we certainly understand. It seems just like yesterday we were spending time with family for the Christmas Holiday; spreading joy everywhere we went; then staying up past our bedtimes to celebrate the incoming new year. Well, Happy New Year! 2022 is here and we have another year of opportunity to make our loving mark on this world.
While we set new resolutions, develop plans for improved self-care, exercise routines, and get started with a new well-being lifestyle; the world around us still comes with some uncertainty. But, although this time of year brings all kinds of sick bugs, covid still lingers, temps are freezing and the fluffy white stuff is all around us, there is always a ray of sunshine peeking through the clouds.
The light of volunteer service is radiating within our employees at Splashlight. The Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday recently passed… in honor of this great pioneer, a couple of our employees took time to serve others by feeding the hungry and providing blankets to those out in the winter elements. As Splashlight continues to grow, our employees become more involved in community service activities being the light to spread love wherever they go!
February, the month of LOVE is also here! This month shares it’s 28 days with Heart Health Month, Black History Month, Valentine’s Day, and Random Acts of Kindness Day which always provides plenty of opportunity for LOVE to be shared! Whether a card, sweet treats, beautiful flowers, paying it forward in the drive-thru line, or having compassion and empathy for those in need, we all can show some love this month. But don’t let it stop there… we are all a part of the human family and we need each other. Studies show there are many health benefits related to giving, receiving, or even observing a random act of kindness.
May you be one of the heroes the world is looking for! So, with your cape tied tight and your heart overflowing, go spread some love and change the world.
John 3:16 – For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Now, that’s LOVE… and that’s what helps us focus on the good stuff.
